DIY Mini Zipper Pouch – Easy Sewing Tutorial for Beginners. Easy Sew Pouch Tutorial.
Prepare the outer fabric, quilting batting, and lining.
I bought Lucid Flower fabric from Fabric 24 and used the leftover scraps from making curtains.
I need about 3 ounces of quilting batting...
I stitched every 1.5cm to give the fabric a sturdy feel.
I attached the smallest 10cm zipper. The cotton is thick...I thought it would burst when I tried to attach the zipper...
The top of the zipper has been neatly bias-finished.
I was going to make a flat pouch, so I folded the sides and sewed them together. When I folded it in half, there were two layers of thick cotton, plus the fabric itself, so it didn't fit well on the sewing machine..
The sides are wrapped with bias tape for a clean finish that hides any clutter.
Flip the fabric inside out using the zipper side, and you've got a cute flat pouch. You can also use it as a coin purse!
It's the perfect size for a rosary!
