Big Bloom Fabric Flower Tutorial

Well I finally finished the tutorial for making this giant, gorgeous bloom!
This is a really big flower, but of course you can scale it down in a variety of ways:

It took me a long time to design a case for my iPhone, but I am very happy with this wristlet design. This clutch will hold an iPhone, etc as well as a pack of gum, ear buds and other essentials. It is cute and portable.

I love the look of a zippered box pouch...so incredibly cute. I found many tutorials on the internet, but was disappointed after making pouches following these tutorials to find that they were not fully lined; looks so much nicer when you open your pouch and there are no seams. It took me a long time to figure it out and I thought and thought and thought...then I got it♥

This machine cover will fit most machines and it would be simple to make it bigger or smaller, according to the size you need. Please note that you could also make this mini-quilt into a table runner or a wall hanging by leaving the ties off.
This project is good for adventurous beginners and beyond!

I wanted to offer you a DIY “full of love”: the heart tote bag. Very simple and very effective in case of a bout of blues, one look at your bag and your smile will return…

These simple baskets are easier than they look - the Eyelash stitch motif along the sides give the effect of a woven basket and results in a super sturdy fabric. They might look a little wobbly at first, but by blocking and shaping them on a form (I used a small tin, a clean wastebasket, and a soup pot for mine), you’ll get nice, even rows.

Drawstring Tarot Bag is a simple, lined bag to keep your tarot or oracle cards safe. The pouch features a boxed bottom and a drawstring closure that is handmade from the lining fabric. There is enough fabric leftover from this project to use as an altar cloth for your readings. A no-sew rope basket has been on my DIY list ever since that one time I made string bowls, which honestly weren’t that sturdy though were fun to make. Using macrame rope this time, I love the natural and minimal look this basket has, and because I wanted to go smaller on the basket size I went with a thinner rope. A thicker rope would work beautifully as well and would be even sturdier and easier since it wouldn’t require as many rows. I’m doing that next time!

And of course, this could be done with sewing and would be a lot more durable that way and should probably be the first line of action if possible, but for the don’t-have-or-want-to-get-a-sewing-machine-or-know-how-to-sew club, this option will satisfy the craving. For all my no sew DIYs, I use this fabric glue which has held up SO well across all my no sew projects. Literally sewing in a tube.
