This card wallet would be perfect as a lightweight, portable women's card wallet. This card wallet is incredibly lightweight and fits perfectly in one hand!
It would also be great as a business card wallet! Let's get started with the detailed instructions!
Draw a 12.5cm x 20cm rectangle on A4 paper.
Use a paper cup or regular cup you have at home and draw rounded corners as shown in the photo above, then cut it out!
All sizes include seam allowances, but you can adjust the size to your liking.
Cut out the outer fabric and lining.
I used thorn dot buttons for the finishing buttons.
I drew the red line above to show you how to divide it into three equal parts.
Lightly mark the ends of the red line with a water-based marker.
Sew the right side together, facing inward, at 1cm intervals.
Then, turn it inside out and iron it like this.
And depending on your preference, you can make a 0.7 to 1 cm wide seam on top.
The next step is crucial. Fold the lining toward the outer fabric, up to the line we marked earlier, dividing it into thirds.
Pull it up as shown in the photo.
Sew one end with a 0.7cm seam.
Do you understand? Then, fold the bottom up by lifting the lining.
Fold the bottom lining up like this.
Then, leave a window hole on the side you just stitched.
Since the card wallet is small, I left about 4cm of space for the window hole.
Sew along the red line, leaving a 0.7cm gap.
Please trim the seam allowances, excluding the window hole.
Lightly iron the window hole like this. This will make it look nice when you flip it over.
The window hole is small, so it might take some effort to flip it over.
But it's better this way because it looks nice when finished...ㅠㅠ
After flipping it over, finish the window hole with a metal iron.
Iron it nicely, and then attach the thorn dot button.
If you don't have a sewing machine, you can also attach Velcro.
Ta-da! I'll be using the Liberty Kitty card wallet, and the rest were sold at a flea market.
As expected, a group shot of everything looks beautiful~
