Supplies:
- Fabric scraps in 4 colors;
- 4 strips of non-woven fabric, measuring 6 cm by 26 cm.
Full-size base rectangle
This pattern is assembled in strips, alternating between Strip A and Strip B, using a paper-piecing technique. It measures 16 cm by 24 cm and can be enlarged to your preferred size.
Templates: 8 mm seam allowances are included. After stitching onto the foundation, each seam should be trimmed down to 5 mm before pressing. This ensures clean edges on the reverse side and guarantees sufficient fabric when pressing. There is no need to mark the seam lines; the cut-out template aligns with the grid markings (with the 8 mm seam allowance extending beyond, of course!).
Grids: Band A Band B
For the small bag, you need to make two 16 cm by 24 cm rectangles using miniature patchwork. Sew them together at the base.
Cut two rectangles for the sides, measuring 9.5 cm by 22 cm. Assemble the bag. Create a lining using the same dimensions.
Prepare 10 ribbons, each 1 cm by 7 cm. Fold them in half and space them out evenly when sewing in the lining. Turn the piece right-side out. Thread a cord through the ribbons and make tassels.
