- 1 piece of iron-on interfacing, 20 x 15 cm

Steps

2. Place the shiny side of the interfacing on the underside of the outer fabric and set the iron to "wool" (symbolized by ••). Iron for approximately 8 seconds without steam.

3. On each piece of fabric, mark the fold with the iron.

4. Once each piece is folded, pin the edges together, right sides together, and sew. Be careful not to sew all the way to the inside horizontal edge of the pocket, otherwise you will be hindered later in step 8. Leave approximately 4 mm of seam allowance.

5. Pin the top of the lining and the top of the outer fabric right sides together. Sew, taking care to align the seams already made for the bottom part of the pocket.

6. Turn your two fabrics inside out and place the lining inside the pocket.

7. Sew on your snap fastener.

8. At the inside horizontal edge of the pocket, fold the edges of the two fabrics inward. Pin and press to mark the fold. Sew edge to edge.

Your clutch is finished! It's up to you to modify it according to your tastes: add a zipper, create a buttonhole, add ribbons, add bias binding...

You can also modify the pattern dimensions, use quilted fabric, or even add a handle on the top!
