DIY Card & Coin Purse | Small Wallet Coin Pouch Sewing Tutorial. Mini Purse free Pattern. Maybe you need a little something to give as a gift?
You will need fabric scraps, batting, hook and loop fasteners, bias tape, cord, and an A4 sheet of paper.
1) I used a sheet of A4 paper as a guide again... Cut off a 14 cm wide strip... And fold or divide it as shown here... I made the curve with a saucer ;-) You can of course leave it square, but I think it looks better this way...
2) Markings for the Velcro or snap fastener
3) Cut out WITHOUT seam allowance: 1x outer fabric, 1x lining, 1x volume fleece e.g. H630, a small piece of Velcro, a few cm of bias tape (edges already ironed over)
4) Iron/place the outer fabric onto the interfacing and sew on the hook and loop fastener. Attach the counterpart to the hook and loop fastener to the lining and sew the strip of bias tape precisely at the fold (leave the sides open).
5) Fold it together and sew on the first bias tape.
6) Fold according to the pattern; I always make small notches at the fold line to make it more accurate...
7) Now sew on the remaining bias tape that connects everything... Please leave 1 cm extending at the end.
8) Now place the ribbon right sides together and sew them together...
9) This is what it should look like
10) Shorten it a little, fold it over, and now pull the corner over... If necessary, help a little with a sharp pair of scissors..
11) Pin in place and sew on the bias tape...
12) There! Almost finished....
13) Now all that's left is to thread the tape through...DONE! That was really quick, wasn't it?
