Materials and pattern for the homemade purse
This homemade purse is also made of discarded jeans. The pattern is the same as the one used for the Back2School Jeanius Lapjeskat PENSIL CASE TUTORIAL. I sewed small stripes of the jeans together to make the back and side part. You can nowhere see were the side part is closed because small the ‘ring’ is made of small stripes of the jeans. An old zipper of a discarded jeans was also used to close the purse. The purse has a lining and although it’s a bit of very fine needle work the result is worth doing. Time: cutting 30 minutes, sewing 3 hours (if you make a lining as well you need an extra hour or so)
Costs: (lining was a small piece of leftover fabric and the yarn was stil on a bobbin) googly eyes € 0,25, keychain with clasp € 1,00
Other possibilities for this homemade purse
One can easily use this purse also to store a smartphone charger or the headset. I added a keychain with clasp to the ‘tail’ so the purse can be lifted up in a big bag between the other stuff. One can also easily hock and un-hock the purse. The keyring can also be used for a car key or home key.
