2 m narrow pale pink stitched ribbon
How-to step by step...
Step 1
Start by cutting out the outer & lining panels as illustration above. Fuse interfacing to wrong side of both outer pieces.
Step 2
Place the front bag panel, right sides together with the front lining piece. Pin together at the top to secure
Step 3
Using a 1cm seam allowance, stitch the two panels together.
Step 4
Press seam open. Repeat with back outer and lining panels.
Step 5
Place the stitched front panel to the stitched back panel, right sides together. Pin to secure in place.
Step 6
Using a 1cm seam allowance, starting at the base of the lining stitch the two panels together, leaving a 5cm gap to turn the bag to the right side and leaving a 3cm gap either side of the centre seam both sides to allow threading of drawcord later.
Step 7
Clip the corners on the lining and outer.
Step 8
Turn the bag right side out
Step 9
Press the bag and slip stitch the opening in the lining close.
Step 10
Push the lining inside the outer bag. Lining up the seam with the top edge, pin to secure in place.
Step 11
Using a 3cm seam allowance, stitch a row of stitching around top edge for drawstring channel.
Step 12
Using a small safety pin, thread one length of ribbon thru the drawcord channel at the top. Starting and finishing the same side.
Step 13
Using a small safety pin, thread the remaining length of ribbon thru the drawcord channel at the top on the opposite side. Starting and finishing the same side.
Step 14
Following the manufacturer's instructions punch holes for your eyelets in the bottom corners of the bag.
Step 15
Attach eyelets.
Step 16
Thread ends of ribbon drawcord on each side through the corresponding eyelet. Knot ends of ribbon drawcord to secure in place.
Trim off excess ribbon
Step 18
Pull the drawcord to close the bag.
