Wine Bag Tutorial

 The wine bag features two padded slots for wine and a pocket on the front of the bag for a corkscrew. You can use the bag for holiday party going or as a special gift (fill it up!).

Perfect gift for the person who has everything!

 Materials:
•sewing machine
•cutting mat
•ruler
•scissors/rotary cutter (optional)
•straight pins
•fabric (.5 yards each of 2 coordinating prints/solids, 1 for outside and 1 for lining, works best if they are upholstery or canvas, 1/4 yd fabric for insert, pocket lining and biased tape)
•1 yard, 1” wide handle strapping or webbing (usually sold by the yard at fabric stores)
•1 inch biased tape maker (or premade biased tape)
•1 yard of quilt batting
•28 inches of coordinating hook and loop tape (Velcro)
•soluble ink pen (found in notions section of fabric store)
•iron and ironing board

Cut 2 lining pieces 17 1/4 inch X 12 inches.
Cut 2 inch notches in bottom.
Cut 1 of exterior piece, 17 1/4 inch X 12 inches. Cut 2 inch notches in bottom.
Cut 1 exterior piece 10 X 12.
Cut 1 exterior piece 8 X 12.
Cut 2 handles, 18 inches each.
One piece of biased tape 13 inches.

Cut 2 pocket pieces 7 X 12. One will be on the outside and one will be the lining.
Cut 2 pieces of fabric for the insert 7 X 10. This can be quilting cotton.
Cut one of each hook and loop 11 inches.
Cut 2 of each hook and loop 8.5 inches.
