Cloud Shaped Cushion Tutorial

You will need...

    1 greatest adventure clouds fabric (fat quarter)
    polyester toy filling
    all purpose sewing thread
    Cloud Cushion Pattern

How-to step by step

Step 1

Start by downloading and printing out the cushion pattern. Place the pattern on your fabric and trace round the edge, then add a 1cm seam allowance. Turn the pattern over and repeat as above.

Step 2

Place the cloud shaped panels right sides together and pin together to secure

Step 3

Starting at the centre of the base of the cloud, using a 1cm seam allowance stitch along the marked lines, pivoting the fabric at the points

Step 4

Stopping about 8cm from where you started, to leave an opening.

Step 5

Clip the curves around the cushion

Step 6

Turn the cloud cushion right side out through the opening, and use a blunt-ended tool such as the rounded end of a chopstick to carefully push out the corners.

Step 7

Give the cushion cover a light press

Step 8

Stuff the cover with filling. 

Step 9

Turn in the seam allowances of the opening and slipstitch closed.
